About the job

Our client, a leading financial institution, is seeking an Intermediate Project Manager to join their Payments Strategy & Transformation team for 9 months of contract with possibility of extension. This role involves managing the end-to-end delivery of complex projects and programs, ensuring alignment with organizational goals, and driving process improvement initiatives.

The role is 2 days in office in Downtown, Toronto

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage end-to-end delivery of complex projects, including initiation, design, testing, implementation, and closure.
  • Analyze project data and deliver executive-level presentations on status, milestones, and risks.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with stakeholders to support project alignment and success.
  • Facilitate requirements and process mapping workshops, driving process improvements.
  • Document current and future-state processes and create Business Requirements Documents (BRDs).
  • Lead test planning, execution, and post-implementation validation with cross-functional teams.
  • Support Payment Strategy & Transformation projects by simplifying workflows and creating escalation plans.
  • Mentor Business Analysts and promote best practices in project execution and delivery.

Qualifications

Must-Haves

  • Minimum 4 years of experience managing large, end-to-end projects.
  • Proven experience working on business projects with a technology component (e.g., familiarity with UAT/SIT).
  • Interest in transitioning to a full-time position.

Nice-to-Haves

  • Background in payments, deposits, or cards.
  • Experience in the financial services industry.
  • PMP certification.
