Our main focus is recruitment. We staff for clients locally and internationally within a variety of industry sectors, as each Consultant maintains an industry niche in the market. We offer temporary, contract and full-time searches on a contingent and retained basis with a focus on Executive level search, but not excluding Support level roles. OCS targets large to mid-sized companies in order to better service our candidates within their specified geographic regions. Recognizing the need for additional assistance, OCS extended its services to support pay rolling, right sizing, employee assessment and testing, surveys, and HR consulting.

The Company

Our semi non-profit client in the addiction and recovery space with multiple locations in Toronto is looking for a dedicated, resourceful administrative professional to assist its Human Resources Department. The Job!

In this job you will work closely with a small collaborative team. Your specific duties will include the following, among other duties:

  • Supports recruitment and onboarding processes, working with the HR Manager and team to enhance department effectiveness and efficiency.
  • Models organizational values, maintains confidentiality, and demonstrates a commitment to personal and professional growth.
  • Conducts candidate prescreens, schedules interviews, completes reference checks, and arranges police security clearances.
  • Assists with HR orientation and onboarding of new employees.
  • Performs other HR-related duties as assigned.

What you bring to the job

You are someone who is familiar with addiction and recovery and thrives in a fast-paced, multi-tasking environment. You also come with the following qualifications:

  • Human Resources certificate or diploma.
  • 2+ years of administrative experience in HR.
  • Demonstrates excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.
  • Excels in organizational and time management tasks.
  • Manages confidential information effectively.
  • Maintains a process-oriented approach with strong computer skills.
