A leader in smart home technology is actively looking to hire a Senior Performance Engineer. This Engineer will be working with a team of data scientists to deploy AI/ML algorithms and ensure the efficiency of the application suite. This is a growing, forward-thinking company, whose products are quickly finding themselves in many homes around the country.
The Senior Performance Engineer will be the technical lead responsible for improving performance and efficiency of the app suite, and should be well versed in developing and deploying scalable, robust, and cost-efficient systems. Experience developing cloud ecosystems, containerized services, and a background in a data-intensive tech stack would be helpful as well.
Responsibilities
- Work with Data Scientists to deploy cost efficient algorithms
- Improve efficiency of existing infrastructure
- Deliver secure code with IaC deployments
- Lead other team members in the design, production readiness of a suite of applications
- Take part in code reviews
Qualifications:
- Degree in Computer Science or related field
- Expert in Python development
- Experience designing software around networking, memory, CPU and GPU
- Experience with SSH, Make, shell scripting
- Experience architecting cloud ecosystems (AWS preferred) and containerized services
