Key Responsibilities of a Director of Entertainment & Programming
- Develop and implement engaging programs that support physical, social, emotional, spiritual, and cognitive wellness.
- Stay up to date with active aging trends and introduce innovative activities for resident enrichment.
- Plan and coordinate special events, social activities, and outings to enhance the assisted living and memory care experience.
- Oversee the resident transportation program, including scheduling and logistics for outings and appointments.
- Ensure residents are safely transported and accompanied to external activities in community vehicles.
- Collaborate with the care team, residents, and families to tailor programs that meet individual preferences and needs.
Qualifications for a Director of Entertainment & Programming
Required Skills & Experience
- Must be at least 21 years old with a minimum of three years of licensed driving experience.
- Valid state Driver’s License with a clean Motor Vehicle Record (MVR).
- Prior experience in senior living, assisted living, or community programming is preferred.
- Knowledge of aging and disability-related issues is a plus.
- Experience in supervising or directing teams is highly desirable.
