About the Role
We have an exciting opportunity for a Specimen Reception Manager (Band 6) to join our Blood Sciences team within one of the largest NHS-led Pathology Services in the South of England. This role is ideal for a motivated and experienced candidate looking to advance their career in Pathology management while making a direct impact on patient care.

Key Responsibilities:
- Ensure personal competency in all areas of a multidisciplinary specimen reception.
- Oversee and manage Specimen Reception services at Royal Surrey Hospital/Royal Berkshire Hospital.
- Contribute to policy development, business planning, and procedural improvements as a senior team member.
- Provide effective communication within Specimen Reception and across Pathology services.
- Participate in budget planning to meet future service demands.
- Ensure financial compliance, acting as an authorised signatory for staff pay and expenses.
- Provide workload statistics and Key Performance Indicator (KPI) reports to the Biochemistry Site Lead.
- Support and maintain accreditation with UKAS ISO:15189, MHRA, and IBMS training programmes.
