Responsibilities:

  • Design and develop compelling visualizations, including dynamic charts, graphs, dashboards, and infographics, to effectively communicate economic trends and research findings.
  • Collaborate with the Chief Economist, Deputy Chief Economist, and research teams to understand data insights and translate them into impactful visual formats for diverse audiences.
  • Maintain consistent visual standards across all outputs, adhering to brand guidelines and ensuring style, accuracy, and clarity.
  • Develop and optimize interactive data tools and dashboards for presentations and publications.
  • Stay abreast of emerging data visualization and economic communication trends, incorporating innovative techniques into projects.
  • Provide training and guidance to team members on data visualization and storytelling best practices.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • 3+ years of experience in data visualization, information design, or related fields.
  • Demonstrated experience creating visualizations, ideally within economics, research, finance, or policy contexts.
  • Proficiency in data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI, D3.js, Flourish).
  • Strong design skills with Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, Photoshop, Canva, etc.).
  • Excellent storytelling and visual communication skills.
  • Ability to simplify and explain complex data to non-technical audiences.
  • Strong attention to detail, accuracy, and commitment to data integrity.
  • Effective collaboration and communication skills, including experience working in cross-functional teams.
  • Passion for economics and making data accessible and engaging.
