Human Resources Manager – Amgen Ohio
What You’ll Do
As a Human Resources Manager, you will play a key role in organizational effectiveness, workforce strategy, and employee engagement at Amgen Ohio (AOH). In this dynamic role, you will partner with business leaders to develop and implement HR strategies that drive innovation, growth, and inclusion while supporting Amgen’s commitment to manufacturing excellence and environmental sustainability.
Key responsibilities include:
- Organizational Strategy: Develop and implement workforce strategies that optimize organizational effectiveness.
- Talent & Culture: Partner with leadership to drive employee engagement, diversity, inclusion, and belonging initiatives.
- HR Program Management: Support global HR initiatives while identifying opportunities for improvement at the site level.
- Talent Pipeline Development: Lead staffing strategies and enhance community outreach efforts to attract top talent.
- Apprenticeship Program Oversight: Provide guidance for site-specific apprenticeship programs.
- Leadership Development: Partner with HR teams to execute talent development and retention strategies.
- HR Metrics & Analytics: Analyze HR data and propose talent strategies based on insights.
- Continuous Improvement: Stay ahead of industry trends and drive innovation within HR programs.
What We’re Looking For
The ideal candidate is a progressive HR professional with a strategic mindset, strong interpersonal skills, and a passion for innovation.
Basic Qualifications:
- Doctorate degree OR
- Master’s degree and 2 years of HR Business Partner experience OR
- Bachelor’s degree and 4 years of HR Business Partner experience OR
- Associate’s degree and 8 years of HR Business Partner experience OR
- High school diploma/GED and 10 years of HR Business Partner experience
Preferred Qualifications:
- 6+ years of HR experience across areas like organizational effectiveness, recruitment, talent development, and employee relations.
- Strong ability to manage competing priorities and adapt to a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to influence leadership.
- Strong analytical skills, using HR metrics to drive strategic decisions.
- A continuous improvement mindset, with the ability to challenge existing approaches and implement meaningful change.
- Experience in organizational change management and fostering an inclusive workplace culture.
