About the Job
Louis Dreyfus Company, a leading agricultural merchant and processor, seeks a Human Resources professional to support their grain and oilseed industrial assets across the US. This role requires a candidate with industrial/manufacturing HR experience and regional oversight. The position is office-based four days a week with one flex day.
Responsibilities include advising management and employees on HR matters, participating in HR projects, budget preparation, investigating employee relations issues, implementing HR programs, supporting leadership on people strategies, managing trainee/internship programs, serving as an HRIS expert (Workday and Kronos), managing leave processes, ensuring legal compliance, and supporting performance management. Administrative duties include creating and analyzing HR reports.
A Bachelor’s degree in a social science field is required (HR preferred), with a Master’s degree and HR certifications (PHR/SHRM-CP) preferred. 5-8 years of HR experience, including 3-5 years in plant manufacturing, are necessary. Union experience and supervisory skills are a plus. Strong communication, interpersonal, and analytical skills are essential, as is knowledge of employment law. Proficiency in MS Office is required, and Workday/Kronos experience is preferred. Travel to industrial sites is occasionally required.
