Key Responsibilities

  • Land Development Permitting: Manage permits related to NPDES, stormwater management, and comply with local, state, and federal regulations.
  • Site Research: Gather and analyze site data from various sources.
  • Design & Engineering:
    • Develop site layouts, grading plans, and drainage designs.
    • Perform stormwater modeling and design.
    • Create erosion and sediment control plans.
    • Design access roads and retaining walls.
    • Plan and coordinate utility layouts.
  • Technical Documentation:
    • Prepare supporting calculations, quantity take-offs, and construction drawings.
    • Develop construction specifications.
  • Project Execution:
    • Conduct construction observation and field engineering.
    • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure project success.

Required Experience & Education

  • Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering
  • 0-2 years of hands-on experience in civil-site design
  • EIT certification preferred
  • Technical Proficiency:
    • Experience with AutoCAD Civil 3D (preferred) and/or MicroStation OpenSite Designer (preferred)
    • Familiarity with Hydraflow, ICPR, and other hydrologic & hydraulic modeling tools
    • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Adobe Acrobat, and other standard software
  • Skills & Abilities:
    • Strong analytical and technical writing skills
    • Effective communication and teamwork
    • Ability to independently manage projects and clients with minimal supervision
  • Other Requirements:
    • Willingness to travel occasionally
    • Authorization to work in the U.S.
