Key Responsibilities
- Land Development Permitting: Manage permits related to NPDES, stormwater management, and comply with local, state, and federal regulations.
- Site Research: Gather and analyze site data from various sources.
- Design & Engineering:
- Develop site layouts, grading plans, and drainage designs.
- Perform stormwater modeling and design.
- Create erosion and sediment control plans.
- Design access roads and retaining walls.
- Plan and coordinate utility layouts.
- Technical Documentation:
- Prepare supporting calculations, quantity take-offs, and construction drawings.
- Develop construction specifications.
- Project Execution:
- Conduct construction observation and field engineering.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure project success.
Required Experience & Education
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering
- 0-2 years of hands-on experience in civil-site design
- EIT certification preferred
- Technical Proficiency:
- Experience with AutoCAD Civil 3D (preferred) and/or MicroStation OpenSite Designer (preferred)
- Familiarity with Hydraflow, ICPR, and other hydrologic & hydraulic modeling tools
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Adobe Acrobat, and other standard software
- Skills & Abilities:
- Strong analytical and technical writing skills
- Effective communication and teamwork
- Ability to independently manage projects and clients with minimal supervision
- Other Requirements:
- Willingness to travel occasionally
- Authorization to work in the U.S.
