Key Responsibilities

Sales Leadership & Strategy

  • Drive Sales Growth: Develop and execute strategic initiatives to meet and exceed annual sales targets.
  • Team Leadership: Inspire and guide sales professionals to achieve their goals while delivering exceptional customer service.
  • Active Engagement: Participate on the sales floor to foster clientele development, coach team members, and enhance brand presence—ensuring any direct selling is secondary to leadership responsibilities.
  • Market Awareness: Stay current on industry trends to identify and capitalize on market opportunities.
  • Collaborative Merchandising: Work closely with the Buying & Merchandising team to align product assortments with market demand and sales objectives.
  • Performance Reporting: Monitor store performance, identify challenges and opportunities, and provide actionable insights and recommendations to Corporate leadership.

Clientele & Service Management

  • Customer Focus: Cultivate a client-centric culture, ensuring prompt resolution of customer service issues and fostering robust customer relationships.
  • CRM Excellence: Encourage and oversee CRM data capture and strategic client retention initiatives.
  • Proactive Outreach: Implement proactive outreach strategies to drive future sales and exceed customer expectations.
  • Exemplary Service: Model and coach staff to consistently deliver positive and rewarding client experiences, ensuring regular client engagement and development.

Operations Management

  • Budget Control: Manage controllable expenses, ensuring operations stay within budget.
  • Policy Adherence: Ensure all associates understand and follow company policies, procedures, and security protocols.
  • Inventory & Merchandising: Oversee inventory care, conduct regular counts/audits, and maintain product quality for optimal sales readiness.
  • Store Procedures: Establish effective opening/closing procedures, manage staffing schedules, and leverage technology to enhance the customer experience.

Talent Training & Development

  • Recruitment Excellence: Attract top-tier talent who embody the David Yurman brand.
  • Staff Development: Foster continuous growth through clear communication, goal-setting, and regular coaching.
  • Succession Planning: Train and develop future leaders within the store management team.
  • Compliance & Improvement: Ensure adherence to company policies and identify individual training needs to drive performance.

Qualifications

  • Entrepreneurial Mindset: Proven business acumen and a positive leadership style with a strong background in sales.
  • Multilingual Skills: Ability to speak multiple languages is a plus.
  • High Net Worth Network: Well-connected within affluent circles and local philanthropic communities.
  • Luxury Service Focus: Exceptional client relationship skills and a commitment to leading a high-end luxury service culture.
  • Retail Sales Management: A minimum of 5+ years of experience in retail sales management, ideally within a high-end luxury accessories environment.
  • Passion & Communication: Enthusiastic, with strong written and verbal communication skills, and a talent for motivating teams.
  • Multitasking Pro: Capable of managing multiple tasks in a fast-paced, high-volume environment while driving results.
  • Community Engagement: Demonstrated ability to build strong community relationships.
  • Industry Experience: Experience with fine jewelry and/or fine watches is preferred.
  • Flexibility: Willingness to work across various roles and non-traditional hours, including days, nights, weekends, and holidays.
