Ideal Candidate Profile

The successful candidate will provide personalized, relationship-based care to adult and geriatric patients and their families. This role requires a strong clinical foundation, independent judgment, and a compassionate approach to patient-centered care.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement individualized care plans using the nursing process, including assessment, diagnosis, planning, implementation, and evaluation.
  • Guide nursing practice independently while evaluating patient-specific outcomes to ensure optimal care.
  • Inspire and lead clinically excellent outcomes through effective delegation and decision-making.
  • Utilize clear and compassionate communication to foster a culture of healing, ensuring patients and their families remain the central focus.
  • Address physical, emotional, spiritual, and educational needs while coordinating care with healthcare professionals, patients, and their support networks.
  • Assess, monitor, and administer pre- and post-operative medications for all surgical patients.
  • Direct and oversee licensed and unlicensed clinical staff to ensure high-quality care.
  • Assist physicians with procedures and prioritize care for a variety of surgical patients.
  • Work Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–4:30 PM, with on-call responsibilities.

Qualifications

To be considered for this role, you should have:

  • 1–2 years of acute care experience
  • Graduate of an NLNAC or CCNE-accredited School of Nursing with a valid state nursing license
  • BLS certification (must be maintained throughout employment)
  • OCN Certification within 18 months of hire OR completion of 36 CE credits in Oncology every three years, with 12 CE credits completed annually (Surgical Services exempt)
  • ACLS certification upon hire or within the orientation period (must be maintained throughout employment)
  • Ability to recognize cardiac arrhythmias and take appropriate action (Telemetry experience required)
  • Ability to respond to the hospital within 60 minutes when on call.
