Job Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled Business Analyst to join our team in a fully remote capacity. This role is best suited for individuals with experience as a Business Analyst, Project Manager, or Project Lead. Candidates must be Michigan residents to be considered.

Required Skills & Qualifications

  • 8+ years of experience as a Business Analyst (non-technical) or in a related role such as Project Management or Project Leadership
  • Proven expertise in gathering and documenting requirements for multiple projects
  • Exceptional writing and documentation skills with strong attention to detail
  • Ability to produce well-structured, high-quality deliverables using multiple documentation techniques
  • Strong facilitation skills with experience in organizational change management
  • Experience managing multiple projects simultaneously
  • Ability to create design documents and project reports
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word and experience with Microsoft Excel, Outlook, and Project
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to interact effectively with stakeholders at all levels
  • Bachelor’s degree required
  • Experience with government projects, consulting, RFP creation, and grant management is a plus

Key Responsibilities

  • Analyze and document business processes, technologies, and organizational structures
  • Identify areas for improvement and recommend strategies for optimization
  • Lead and facilitate meetings, ensuring productive discussions and decision-making
  • Perform root cause analysis and gap assessments to enhance operational efficiency
  • Conduct research on policies, regulations, and legislative changes impacting public health and human services
  • Prepare high-quality reports, briefing papers, and project documentation to support decision-making
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to establish and manage project expectations
  • Develop and implement business process mapping techniques to visualize workflows and identify inefficiencies
  • Mentor and train junior team members, sharing expertise and best practices
  • Lead or contribute to project management activities, ensuring smooth execution and delivery

Preferred Experience

  • Background in state or federal government agencies or private organizations focused on health and human services
  • Experience in business process modeling (BPMN) and process improvement strategies
  • Familiarity with Microsoft SharePoint and other collaborative tools
