Systems Administrator – Enterprise Test Organization
BAE Systems is seeking a skilled Systems Administrator to join our dynamic team supporting a high-performance enterprise test environment. In this role, you’ll ensure seamless system operations, manage resources, enhance security, and optimize IT infrastructure. Your responsibilities will include Active Directory management, virtualization, compliance, software deployment, and network administration.
Key Responsibilities:
- Administer Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, and group policies
- Maintain and optimize VMWare virtualization and Windows Update Services (WSUS)
- Ensure compliance with security standards, including ACAS and HBSS
- Oversee SCCM infrastructure, Microsoft Exchange, and backup solutions
- Configure and maintain NetApp storage and network infrastructure
- Deploy and maintain COTS and GOTS software
Qualifications:
✅ 5–8 years of experience in systems administration (or 11–14 years with HS diploma)
✅ Strong knowledge of Windows Server, virtualization, and system security
✅ Experience with network troubleshooting, software deployments (SCCM, PDQ), and PowerShell scripting
✅ Ability to work independently with excellent problem-solving and documentation skills
✅ Must be able to lift 50–60 lbs
Preferred Skills:
- Experience with Cloud technologies (AWS), Linux (Red Hat), Microsoft Exchange, and NAS storage
- Knowledge of LAN/WAN, switching technologies, and PowerShell automation
