Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee daily operations of all Food & Beverage outlets and Banquet services, ensuring an exceptional guest experience at every touchpoint.
  • Collaborate on menu creation, pricing strategies, and beverage selections, incorporating current trends and seasonal offerings.
  • Partner with the management team to set and achieve both short- and long-term financial goals for the F&B department.
  • Uphold and enhance operational excellence by implementing and maintaining effective internal controls.
  • Continuously improve and develop programs aimed at elevating the quality of food and beverage service.
  • Drive revenue by actively promoting F&B outlets to both hotel guests and the local community.
  • Apply strong financial acumen, with an in-depth understanding of P&L statements, to ensure departmental profitability.
  • Mentor and lead Assistant Managers within the F&B division, fostering their professional growth.
  • Take an active role in the recruitment, hiring, onboarding, training, and development of new and existing team members, providing coaching and performance feedback.
  • Ensure full compliance with Hygiene, Health, and Safety regulations.
  • Motivate and engage staff through effective communication, pre-shift meetings, and regular updates on operational priorities.
  • Oversee team scheduling, manage time-off requests, payroll processes, and performance reviews, cultivating a positive and efficient workplace.
  • Recognize and reward top performers while addressing coaching opportunities proactively.
  • Optimize restaurant operations through the implementation and oversight of an effective reservation system.

Qualifications

  • A proactive approach to anticipating guest needs in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Proficiency with general computer applications, including POS systems.
  • Detail-oriented with excellent organizational and time-management skills.
  • Proven leadership and team development capabilities.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of food and beverage, including wine, spirits, and beer.
  • Prior hotel and restaurant experience is required.
  • Minimum of 2 years in an Assistant Manager role within F&B or Banquets (preferred).
  • Supervisory experience in F&B or Banquets is essential.
  • Flexibility to work a varied schedule, including weekends, holidays, and different shifts.
