Responsibilities
- Collaborate closely with the Vice President of Corporate Communications and other senior leaders to create engaging content for social media and the corporate website.
- Research, write, edit, proofread, and publish high-quality content across social media platforms and the website.
- Develop and manage a monthly editorial calendar highlighting key milestones, awareness campaigns, and other relevant topics for external audiences.
- Regularly maintain and update corporate social media channels and the company website.
- Facilitate content review processes by coordinating with key stakeholders to secure approvals, post content, and route responses as needed.
- Stay informed on emerging digital trends, best practices, and new technologies to recommend innovative strategies.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams and communications staff at subsidiary companies to ensure alignment in messaging and brand visuals.
- Ensure social media and website content support the company’s key business initiatives and external campaigns.
- Manage external vendors and oversee projects that require significant collaboration with leaders across functions and global operations.
- Partner with Human Resources, Employee Resource Groups, the Employee Engagement Committee, the DE&I Council, and other internal teams to support initiatives that enhance employee culture and engagement.
- Develop and execute social media programs to drive audience engagement across platforms such as Facebook, LinkedIn, X (Twitter), YouTube, and others.
- Monitor social media platforms, trends, tools, and applications, and recommend strategic actions as appropriate.
- Track, analyze, and report on social media and website performance, providing actionable insights.
- Respond promptly and professionally to social media inquiries, while fostering proactive audience engagement.
- Perform additional duties as assigned by the Vice President of Corporate Communications.
Qualifications
- Proven experience managing social media channels across major platforms.
- Professional experience in web content development, with proficiency in WordPress.
- Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Business, Science, or a related field (required).
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in social media or digital communications roles.
- Prior experience in the pharmaceutical or biotechnology industry (preferred).
- Willingness and ability to travel domestically and internationally up to 25%
