Chief Financial Officer (CFO) – Albany, GA

About the Role

The Chief Financial Officer (CFO) is responsible for overseeing all financial operations, ensuring compliance, and developing policies to maintain fiscal integrity. Reporting directly to the CEO, the CFO manages financial accounting systems, including accounts payable, cash disbursements, financial statements, cost reports, and tax filings, while supervising accounting, accounts payable, and purchasing teams.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and administer financial policies aligned with organizational goals.
  • Oversee budgeting, credit, investments, and internal controls.
  • Ensure accurate financial reporting and compliance.
  • Provide strategic financial guidance to support business objectives.
  • Lead and mentor finance staff, ensuring operational efficiency.
  • Collaborate with leadership to drive financial performance and sustainability.

Qualifications & Skills

  • Education: Bachelor’s or Master’s in Accounting or related field (CPA required).
  • Experience: Minimum three years in financial management, including two years in healthcare.
  • Strong analytical and financial reporting skills.
  • Ability to identify, analyze, and resolve financial challenges effectively.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and decision-making abilities.
  • Proficiency in financial software and high computer competency preferred.
  • Ability to relocate to Albany, GA 31707 before starting work.
