Civil Machine Operator – Key Responsibilities
Daily Responsibilities of a Civil Machine Operator

Safely operate machinery, plant equipment & hand tools for construction tasks.

Maintain accurate daily records of work completed and site activities.

Conduct pre-use and post-use checks on all plant and equipment.

Ensure all required certifications are valid and up to date for machinery use.

Identify and report equipment defects or safety concerns immediately.

Support multi-disciplinary teams in civil engineering and water projects.
Civil Machine Operator – Skills & Qualifications

Experience in civil engineering projects with certification for plant/machinery use.
-
CSCS card (Construction Skills Certification Scheme).
-
CPCS or NPORS cards (Excavator below 10 tonnes).

EUSR/Water Hygiene preferred.

Understanding of site safety practices, including Confined Spaces.

Full UK Driving Licence required.
