    Seasonal Truck Driver – CHS (Garrison, ND)

    CHS in Garrison, ND is seeking a Seasonal Truck Driver to join our team for the spring planting season! This role involves delivering fertilizer to customers efficiently and safely. The ideal candidate holds a Class A CDL. The position runs from April to June, with potential for full-time employment if desired. This is a fantastic opportunity to earn extra income in a short time while being part of an outstanding team.

    Responsibilities:

    • Ensure timely and accurate pick-up and delivery of fertilizer in a safe and professional manner.

    • Assist with loading and unloading as needed.

    • Deliver exceptional customer service, maintaining professionalism and addressing concerns promptly.

    • Comply with all regulations, including pre-trip and post-trip inspections, proper load securement, and hours of service.

    • Maintain vehicle cleanliness inside and out, along with a tidy work environment.

    • Perform and document daily maintenance inspections, ensuring proper upkeep, repairs, and preventive maintenance.

    • Foster a strong safety culture, adhering to all safety policies, PPE procedures, and workplace hazard protocols.

    • Report any incidents, accidents, or traffic violations immediately to a supervisor.

    • Participate in CHS’s random drug and alcohol testing program and the Continuous Monitoring Program.

    • Support operational staff and take on additional duties as assigned, including intercompany driving.

    Minimum Qualifications:

    • Class A CDL

    • High school diploma or GED

    Preferred Qualifications:

    • Ability to maintain a Class A CDL and DOT medical card

    • Strong English communication skills (reading, writing, speaking)

    • Willingness to work additional hours and occasional weekends as needed (flexible scheduling available)

    • Agricultural background preferred

    • Customer service experience preferred

    • Must pass pre-employment screenings as required, which may include drug testing, criminal background checks, motor vehicle records, physical assessments, and FMSCA Clearinghouse verification.
