Director of Facilities/Plant Operations

Location: Broward & Miami (Travel Required)

Position Summary:

The Director of Facilities/Plant Operations oversees all engineering activities, ensuring compliance with state and federal regulations. This role includes project management, cost and time management, safety oversight, contract administration, and construction management. The Director fosters collaboration among stakeholders, optimizes resources, and ensures efficient facility operations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee engineering programs, facility maintenance, and compliance with OSHA, AHCA, CARF, and JCAHO regulations.

  • Develop policies, procedures, and operational strategies for engineering teams.

  • Lead and mentor facility engineering staff, ensuring training and performance excellence.

  • Manage preventive maintenance programs to sustain seamless facility operations.

  • Coordinate construction and renovation projects, acting as a liaison between management and contractors.

  • Maintain vendor relationships and oversee procurement for construction projects and materials.

  • Ensure regulatory compliance, documentation accuracy, and adherence to quality standards.

  • Stay updated on emerging technologies to enhance facility operations.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering with a minimum of 10 years of experience in engineering, project management, and compliance.

  • Strong knowledge of federal and state regulations.

  • Valid Florida driver’s license.

  • Proficiency in engineering-related software and Microsoft Office.

  • Strong analytical, communication, and leadership skills.

Physical Requirements & Work Environment:

  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs., climb stairs/ladders, and stand for extended periods.

  • Work in varied environments, including office settings and facility sites.

  • Flexibility to work weekends, holidays, or beyond standard hours as needed.
