Who We’re Hiring
MSG Sports is seeking an Accountant to support the Accounting Department in daily operations, month-end and quarter-end closes, and financial analysis for the Knicks, Rangers, and Sports Corporate entities. This role involves accrual management, account reconciliations, journal entries, and audit preparation.
Responsibilities

Assist in monthly and quarterly financial closes for the Knicks, Rangers, and Westchester Knicks.

Handle payroll, benefits, and employee expense accounting.

Prepare balance sheet and income statement analysis, ensuring accuracy for internal, external, and tax reporting.

Review vendor invoices and expense reports for proper classification and approval.

Support daily accounting functions and complete special projects as assigned.

Enhance financial reporting processes by leveraging digital tools and financial systems.

Assist with audit preparations and deliverables.
Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance.

Proficiency in Excel and Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, PowerPoint).

Strong analytical skills with attention to detail.

Effective verbal and written communication.

CPA certification is a plus.

Experience with 10-K/10-Q financial statements and data transformation tools is a plus.
Compensation & Growth

Salary Range: $57,000–$80,000 USD.
