Job Description:
Missouri University of Science and Technology (Missouri S&T) is seeking a Senior Security Analyst to join our cybersecurity team. This role requires expertise in managing firewalls, Azure security, Active Directory, account management, and incident response. The ideal candidate will possess deep knowledge of network and security frameworks, with the ability to mitigate risks and ensure the integrity of critical systems. Experience with export-controlled projects and law enforcement collaboration is essential, and the ability to obtain a top-secret security clearance is required (existing clearance preferred).
Key Responsibilities:

Firewall Management: Configure, monitor, and maintain enterprise firewalls; implement security policies and network segmentation; resolve incidents and troubleshoot performance issues.

Azure Security & Active Directory Management: Manage Azure AD for identity and access management; implement security solutions in Microsoft Azure; configure AD services, manage permissions, and contribute to privilege delegation tools.

Account Management: Oversee user account lifecycle, ensuring adherence to the principle of least privilege; conduct regular reviews of accounts and permissions.

Incident Response: Lead security incident response, investigate, analyze, and mitigate incidents; hunt for phishing campaigns; perform forensic analysis and develop incident response procedures.

Vulnerability Management: Administer vulnerability management tools; monitor security systems for vulnerabilities; report and advise on emerging threats.

Risk Management & Compliance: Ensure compliance with regulations like NIST, HIPAA, PCI, and export-controlled data policies; conduct security assessments and recommend enhance.
