Core Responsibilities (Rephrased & Concise)

  • Plant Spend & Accruals: Analyze monthly expenditures and prepare accrual entries across multiple plants. Collaborate with operations and finance to ensure accurate cost assessment.

  • Variance Analysis: Deliver monthly reports comparing actuals to forecast for production and manufacturing costs, clearly outlining key variance drivers.

  • Account Reconciliations: Complete timely reconciliations to support internal control compliance.

  • Forecasting & Budgeting: Partner with plant teams to develop monthly forecasts and periodic budgets for fixed and variable costs.

  • Yield & Corn Accounting: Prepare and analyze monthly Corn Wet Milling (CWM) yields and corn usage reports for accuracy.

  • Inventory Reporting: Manage and adjust supplies and packaging inventory data, helping stakeholders understand usage patterns.

  • Inventory Management: Assist with physical inventory counts and reconciliations.

  • Audit & SOX Compliance: Support audit processes and ensure compliance with internal controls.

  • Process Improvement: Lead reviews to standardize and enhance financial processes within the Center of Excellence.

  • Collaboration: Build strong working relationships across departments and locations to ensure accurate financial reporting.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance

  • 1+ year of relevant experience

  • ERP systems knowledge; SAP preferred

  • Strong analytical, communication, and organizational skills

  • Proficiency in MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)

  • Flexible, collaborative, and solution-driven mindset

  • Willingness to travel as needed
