Job Opportunity: Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) at Williamsburg Landing

Job Summary: As a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA), you will provide personalized care to residents under the supervision of the Director of Nursing or charge nurse. You will be responsible for supporting daily activities to ensure residents’ safety, comfort, and independence. The starting pay is $17.00/hour, with increases based on experience. Part-Time Plus positions offer 30-35 hours per week.
Essential Job Functions:

Conduct rounds every two hours to attend to resident needs (toileting, repositioning, hydration).

Perform walking rounds at shift change to ensure a smooth transition of care.

Report any unusual symptoms or changes in residents’ health to the charge nurse.

Administer daily bed baths and bi-weekly showers as needed.

Assist residents with meals and document their intake.

Provide daily personal care (oral hygiene, fingernail trimming, dressing, toileting).

Reposition bedridden residents every two hours or as required.

Take vital signs as per the care plan or charge nurse’s instructions.

Assist with the use of adaptive equipment, such as walkers and wheelchairs.

Handle all concerns regarding potential abuse/neglect according to policy.

Maintain cleanliness and tidiness of residents’ rooms and belongings.

Participate in mandatory in-services, drills, and safety practices.

Transport residents to activities and engage them in daily routines.

Accurately document all care provided via the MyUnity Point of Care system.
Qualifications:

Valid Nurse Aide certification from the Commonwealth of Virginia.

Previous CNA experience preferred.

Completion of CDP (Certified Dementia Practitioner) designation and Agape CNA Skills Review within 90 days of employment.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

Ability to perform duties with appropriate methods to provide optimal care.

Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.

Capacity to lift a minimum of 50 pounds and use various healthcare equipment.
