Job Overview

At CVS Health, we are committed to improving the health and well-being of our patients. As a Non-US Accredited Foreign Graduate, you’ll play a key role in delivering exceptional care while working under the supervision of a licensed pharmacist. After passing FPGEE and TOEFL exams, you’ll complete required U.S. internship hours, building on your pharmacy education and gaining hands-on experience. This internship will help you develop skills in patient care, pharmacy operations, leadership, and practice management. You’ll be prepared to pass all required licensure exams upon completing the internship.

Key Responsibilities

  • Patient Care & Safety: Assist in ensuring a safe and effective pharmacy environment, supporting patient care programs.

  • Customer Service: Greet and assist customers with their needs, providing a warm, professional experience both in-store and at the drive-thru.

  • Regulatory Compliance: Ensure adherence to HIPAA, federal, state regulations, and CVS policies.

  • Pharmacy Operations: Support workflow processes including prescription processing, inventory management, and health care services (e.g., immunization preparation).

  • Counseling: Offer guidance on prescription medications and health concerns under the supervision of a licensed pharmacist.

  • Leadership: Support pharmacy manager in team development and operational activities, ensuring a collaborative, team-focused work environment.

Qualifications

  • Doctorate (PharmD) or equivalent degree from a Non-US accredited pharmacy school.

  • Active Pharmacy Intern license in the state of employment.

  • Ability to complete required internship hours within 18 months and obtain licensure within 120 days of completion.

  • Strong communication, leadership, and customer service skills.

  • Preferred: 3-5 years of relevant work experience and certification to immunize.

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to lift up to 20 lbs. occasionally and perform regular tasks such as overhead lifting.
