About the Job
The Senior Accountant is responsible for ensuring the timely and accurate preparation and analysis of financial data used in US GAAP-based financial statements and reports, including involvement in year-end audits. The role involves collaboration with operational teams and parent company accounting leadership.
Key Responsibilities:

Prepare and complete general ledger journal entries and account reconciliations on schedule.

Assist in the month-end close process and financial analysis.

Develop complex accounting analytics to support business operations.

Collaborate with internal teams and parent company accounting leadership.

Research and provide guidance on US GAAP treatment for new processes.

Maintain strong internal controls and adhere to company policies and procedures.

Manage multiple projects efficiently and meet deadlines.

Stay updated on accounting standards and regulations, recommending improvements.

Maintain organized records and assist with general ledger system maintenance.

Perform other duties as needed in a dynamic work environment.
Required Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting.

Minimum of 3 years of experience in financial statement preparation and analysis.
Preferred Qualifications:

CPA certification.
Technical Skills:

Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel.

Experience with general ledger systems and standard office equipment.
Knowledge & Skills:

In-depth knowledge of US GAAP.

Strong analytical, reconciliation, and problem-solving skills.

Ability to work independently and collaboratively across teams.

Excellent communication and organizational skills.

Experience in vegetation management or the utility industry is a plus.
Compensation:
-
Salary range: $65,000 – $90,000 (based on experience, skills, and education).
