Position Summary:

The Medical Assistant plays a vital role in supporting patient care, assisting with clinical tasks, and performing clerical duties to ensure efficient and compassionate healthcare delivery.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintain a clean and organized clinic environment, including exam and treatment rooms.

  • Provide direct patient care support under supervision, including vital signs, height and weight measurement, phlebotomy, and basic clinical procedures.

  • Assist patients and their families with navigation through the clinic and appointment coordination.

  • Monitor and restock clinic and lab supplies, maintaining proper inventory levels.

  • Follow all safety protocols, including Standard Precautions, to minimize exposure risks during specimen collection and disposal.

  • Ensure proper labeling and handling of lab specimens, including verification of patient identity, date/time of collection, and initials.

  • Accurately complete and record lab and patient charges daily, either electronically or on paper as required.

Qualifications:

Education:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.

Experience:

  • 1 to 3 years of related healthcare experience preferred.

Licenses/Certifications:

  • No certifications required, though relevant credentials are a plus.
