Position Summary:
The Medical Assistant plays a vital role in supporting patient care, assisting with clinical tasks, and performing clerical duties to ensure efficient and compassionate healthcare delivery.
Key Responsibilities:

Maintain a clean and organized clinic environment, including exam and treatment rooms.

Provide direct patient care support under supervision, including vital signs, height and weight measurement, phlebotomy, and basic clinical procedures.

Assist patients and their families with navigation through the clinic and appointment coordination.

Monitor and restock clinic and lab supplies, maintaining proper inventory levels.

Follow all safety protocols, including Standard Precautions, to minimize exposure risks during specimen collection and disposal.

Ensure proper labeling and handling of lab specimens, including verification of patient identity, date/time of collection, and initials.

Accurately complete and record lab and patient charges daily, either electronically or on paper as required.
Qualifications:
Education:

High school diploma or equivalent required.
Experience:

1 to 3 years of related healthcare experience preferred.
Licenses/Certifications:
-
No certifications required, though relevant credentials are a plus.
