Monarch Education is currently hiring a dedicated Nursery Practitioner for a thriving nursery school in Northfield, Birmingham. This is a fantastic opportunity for a passionate and qualified Nursery Practitioner to support children’s early learning and development in a nurturing environment. We are looking for someone with a Level 3 Childcare or Early Years qualification and previous experience in a nursery setting. The full-time role starts immediately and will run until July 2025, with working hours from Monday to Friday, 9:00 am to 3:00 pm.  Key Responsibilities of the Nursery Practitioner Role

As a Nursery Practitioner, your main duties will include:

  • Offering quality learning support to children aged 0-5 years.

  • Planning stimulating, tailored learning activities for individual needs.

  • Promoting outdoor learning through the setting’s Forest School.

  • Ensuring adherence to safeguarding and child protection policies.

  • Monitoring each child’s progress and identifying any learning gaps.

  • Building trusting, supportive relationships to prioritise children’s social and emotional well-being.

 Nursery Practitioner Job Requirements and Skills

To be successful as a Nursery Practitioner, candidates must have:

  • A Level 3 qualification in Childcare or Early Years.

  • Hands-on experience supporting EYFS children.

  • A solid understanding of the EYFS National Curriculum.

  • The ability to adapt learning support based on individual child needs.

  • A proactive, caring attitude towards children’s development and welfare.
