Our client, a reputable local builder, is seeking a sharp Senior Accountant to join their collaborative and growing team. Your Mission:
As Senior Accountant, you’ll be crucial in maintaining the accuracy and integrity of our client’s financial data. You’ll manage key accounting functions, support financial statement preparation, drive month-end closing, and oversee reconciliations, reporting directly to the Director of Accounting and Corporate Controller.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare and post accurate monthly journal entries on time.
- Perform detailed bank and balance sheet account reconciliations.
- Assist in generating monthly financial statements and reports.
- Collaborate on bank draw preparations for construction projects, ensuring accuracy.
- Audit financial data, resolve discrepancies, and implement process improvements.
What you bring to the table:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (CPA or advanced certifications are a plus!).
- 4+ years of professional accounting experience (construction or home building experience is a bonus!).
- Solid knowledge of ERP systems, financial reporting, and advanced Excel skills.
- Exceptional attention to detail, analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
- A proactive approach with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Proven experience in account reconciliation, balance sheet reconciliation, and bank reconciliations.
- Strong understanding of general ledger processes and 1 journal entries.
