Key Responsibilities:

  • Retrieve cargo from various cargo service providers.

  • Ensure the safe and secure transportation of air containers, pallets, loads, and equipment.

  • Complete and submit vehicle reports, receiving documents, trip sheets, and other related paperwork promptly.

  • Account for all cargo and provide receipts as required.

  • Maintain the cleanliness of the vehicle.

  • Responsible for collecting COD accounts.

  • Immediately report all accidents to the Driver Supervisor.

  • Log break and lunch times and follow the designated route on the trip sheet.

  • Demonstrate regular and reliable attendance.

  • Be available to work overtime when necessary.

  • Perform additional duties as assigned by the Driver Supervisor.

Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities:

  • Ability to drive Type 3 and CDL B vehicles as required.

  • Comfortable working in cool temperatures.

  • Ability to collaborate effectively with others.

  • Exhibits a positive attitude and sound judgment.

  • Proficient in basic math functions (addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division).

  • Capable of operating forklifts, pallet jacks, hand trucks, and wagons.

Physical Demands:

  • Frequent lifting and moving of items weighing up to 50 pounds.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED) preferred.

  • Experience in the produce industry is preferred.

  • CDL B license required.

  • Forklift proficiency and certification required.

  • Maintains licensure and PUC certificates.
