What You’ll Do

As an Equipment Operator, your role involves operating Dyno Nobel trucks and specialized equipment to deliver ANFO and other commercial explosives products to customers efficiently and safely. Key responsibilities include:

  • Operating straight-bed vehicles to transport explosive products to company and customer sites in a timely and safe manner.

  • Operating bulk/blend trucks to prepare and deliver ANFO products to customer sites.

  • Performing maintenance on straight, ANFO, and dewatering trucks, and ensuring safe delivery and offloading of products within Dyno Nobel’s Health & Safety Management System procedures.

  • Calibrating equipment, calculating fuel percentages, and checking emulsion density.

  • Loading and unloading trucks while maintaining inventory at magazines and sites.

  • Adhering to safety procedures to maintain safe working conditions during all operations, including driving and working at blast sites.

  • Maintaining accurate records and reports regarding the handling, transportation, and detonation of explosive products to ensure compliance and performance tracking.


What We’re Looking For

  • Class A or B CDL required.

  • Hazmat and Tanker endorsements must be obtained before starting.

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred.

  • 2+ years of experience in mechanical work, commercial driving, explosives, or related fields preferred.

  • Must pass an ATF background check to possess explosives.

  • Ability to read, write, and speak English clearly, and communicate effectively both in writing and verbally.

  • Minimum age of 21 years.

  • Positive attitude, friendly demeanor, and a team-oriented approach.
