Senior Accountant – Manufacturing (Metro Louisville)

Platinum Recruiting Group is helping a large, stable, and growing privately owned manufacturing firm in Metro Louisville find a talented Senior Accountant. This role offers significant impact, growth potential, direct interaction with operations and leadership, strong compensation ($75K – $90K + bonus), and excellent benefits (100% paid employee medical premiums!).

Your Impact: You’ll manage inventory and fixed asset accounting, create costing reports, reconcile inventory, and collaborate with Operations and Supply Chain to boost performance and find cost savings.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Generate timely costing and integrity reports, resolving issues with Operations.
  • Prepare month-end reporting schedules.
  • Ensure accurate standard costs, monitor inventory, and perform reconciliations.
  • Develop insightful monthly inventory reports.
  • Partner with the Plant Manager and Operations to optimize inventory and address performance.
  • Lead continuous improvement of inventory costing reports.
  • Analyze performance data for growth and cost reduction.
  • Support Operations with BOM inquiries.
  • Assist with physical inventory counts and procedures.
  • Analyze inventory turnover, track write-offs, and manage inventory reserves.
  • Collaborate with Supply Chain on inventory valuation.
  • Manage fixed asset ledgers (acquisitions, disposals, depreciation).

What You Need:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • Minimum 3 years of accounting experience.
  • Must have manufacturing experience.
  • Preferred experience in process improvement.
  • Strong understanding of inventory control & costing.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel focus).
  • ERP system experience.
