For over 50 years, Family Health Centers of San Diego (FHCSD) has been dedicated to providing caring, affordable, high-quality health care and support, especially for the uninsured, low-income, and underserved.
As one of the top 10 largest Federally Qualified Health Centers (FQHCs) nationwide, FHCSD operates over 90 sites across San Diego County. These include 29 primary care, 25 behavioral health, nine physical rehabilitation, nine dental, five vision clinics, four substance use treatment programs, three mobile medical units, two mobile counseling centers, two urgent care centers, two PACE centers, and a pharmacy.
Each year, our staff serves over 227,000 patients, with 91% being low-income and 29% uninsured. Additionally, as a Title X provider, we offer comprehensive sexual and reproductive health care to over 42,000 unique patients annually.
Over five decades, FHCSD has grown to become the largest community clinic provider for the uninsured in San Diego County and a top 10 community clinic organization in the nation. We are also the region’s largest health care safety-net, school-based health care, and comprehensive HIV/AIDS services provider.

Requirements:
- Board certified or board eligible in a Primary Care field.
- Experience with underserved, low-income, or homeless populations preferred.
- Ability to work effectively with diverse patient groups.
- Current CPR/BLS (or higher) certification.
- DEA license.
- Graduate of an accredited medical school.
- Current unrestricted California medical license.
- Spanish language fluency preferred at most locations, may be required at some.
