Game DevOps Engineer

Responsibilities:

• Develop clean, efficient, and high-quality production code that meets Skymap’s Engineering Department standards.

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including clients, to solve complex technical challenges.

• Estimate time and effort required to complete programming tasks based on design specifications.

• Provide guidance and mentorship to team members in your areas of expertise.

• Take ownership of core gameplay elements or components, including their technical design and management of associated subtasks.

Requirements:

Qualifications:

• 3+ years of experience in the computer game industry with a strong coding background.

• Required experience with AWS.

• Proficiency in Node.js/TypeScript.

• Ability to write Infrastructure as Code (IaC).

• Comfortable working with Docker and Kubernetes.

• Familiarity with CI/CD tools (Jenkins, GitLab CI, GitHub Actions).

• Understanding of Linux servers, networking fundamentals, and troubleshooting.

• Strong foundation in object-oriented programming.

• Ability to independently identify and solve technical issues, providing effective solutions.

• Experience with debugging and optimizing code for high performance.

• Commitment to maintaining a safe and inclusive work environment.

Pluses:

• Experience with security best practices.

• Knowledge of scaling large online systems.

• Experience with client/server Unreal Engine.

• Experience working with fully remote teams.
