Role: Staff Accountant

The Accounting team is hiring a Staff Accountant to support general ledger accounting and month-end close processes, including internal financial reporting.

Responsibilities:

  • Assist with daily, weekly, and monthly accounting tasks for accurate general ledger maintenance.
  • Support month-end close, including timely and accurate journal entries.
  • Perform reconciliations to ensure accurate transaction recording and resolve discrepancies.
  • Analyze financial data variances to identify trends and potential issues.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams for accurate recording and reporting.
  • Review offshore accounting team’s work and provide training.
  • Maintain detailed documentation of accounting entries, reconciliations, and reports for accuracy and audit readiness.
  • Assist with external audits and SOX compliance.
  • Support ad-hoc accounting projects and resolve daily accounting issues.
  • Identify and implement process improvements and documentation.

Qualifications:

  • 2-3+ years of accounting experience (public accounting or public company preferred).
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting from a top-ranking university.
  • CPA or CPA track preferred.
  • Advanced Excel skills.
  • Strong analytical and critical thinking skills.
  • Detail-oriented and organized.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to 1 solve complex problems, determine processes, and present accounting conclusions.  
  • Ability to multitask and prioritize in a fast-paced environment.
  • Team player with strong in-person and remote collaboration skills.
