Family Medicine Physician Opportunity – Mission-Driven Care in South & East LA

Join St. John’s Community Health (SJCH), a non-profit organization dedicated to providing comprehensive medical care to underserved communities in South and East Los Angeles. As a Family Medicine Physician, you will provide care to patients of all ages in various clinic locations, working a 5-day week with two Saturday shifts per month. Enjoy a fulfilling outpatient practice with no inpatient responsibilities or hospital call.

Qualifications:

  • MD or DO degree.
  • Completion of a Family Medicine residency and board certification/eligibility.
  • Experience with Electronic Health Records (EHR).
  • Basic computer proficiency.
  • Valid California Medical License and DEA Certificate.
  • BLS certification.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide comprehensive medical services, including physical exams, ordering and interpreting tests, diagnosing conditions, and administering or prescribing treatments.
  • Educate patients on health maintenance and disease prevention.
  • Perform procedures within your scope of training.
  • Refer patients to specialists when necessary.
  • Maintain thorough and accurate patient records.
  • Participate in triage and treatment during disaster situations as needed.
  • Commit to the mission of SJCH through clinical involvement.
  • Work approximately two Saturdays per month and potentially one late shift per week.
