Accountant Opportunity at PSA Penn Terminals

PSA Penn Terminals is seeking a meticulous and experienced Accountant to join our finance team. You will play a vital role in maintaining accurate financial records, ensuring regulatory compliance, and providing insightful financial analysis to support our business decisions. A Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or a related field is required.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare monthly general ledger journal entries and accruals.
  • Prepare and file sales and use tax returns.
  • Perform monthly reconciliation of balance sheet accounts and resolve discrepancies promptly.
  • Conduct financial analysis.
  • Review monthly Profit & Loss statements for accuracy.
  • Assist with financial and tax audits.
  • Support the month-end closing process, adhering to strict deadlines.
  • Provide backup and support to other members of the Finance Team.
  • Proactively identify and implement process improvements within your responsibilities.
  • Complete other accounting duties as assigned.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance.
  • Proven experience in corporate accounting or a related field.
  • Strong understanding of GAAP principles and regulatory requirements.
  • Advanced proficiency in Excel for data manipulation and analysis.
  • Experience with accounts receivable management and general ledger accounting practices.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills for effective financial reporting.
  • Familiarity with securities law is a plus.
  • Strong analytical skills with a keen attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Reliable commuting ability or willingness to relocate.
