Accountant Opportunity at PSA Penn Terminals
PSA Penn Terminals is seeking a meticulous and experienced Accountant to join our finance team. You will play a vital role in maintaining accurate financial records, ensuring regulatory compliance, and providing insightful financial analysis to support our business decisions. A Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or a related field is required.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare monthly general ledger journal entries and accruals.
- Prepare and file sales and use tax returns.
- Perform monthly reconciliation of balance sheet accounts and resolve discrepancies promptly.
- Conduct financial analysis.
- Review monthly Profit & Loss statements for accuracy.
- Assist with financial and tax audits.
- Support the month-end closing process, adhering to strict deadlines.
- Provide backup and support to other members of the Finance Team.
- Proactively identify and implement process improvements within your responsibilities.
- Complete other accounting duties as assigned.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance.
- Proven experience in corporate accounting or a related field.
- Strong understanding of GAAP principles and regulatory requirements.
- Advanced proficiency in Excel for data manipulation and analysis.
- Experience with accounts receivable management and general ledger accounting practices.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills for effective financial reporting.
- Familiarity with securities law is a plus.
- Strong analytical skills with a keen attention to detail and accuracy.
- Reliable commuting ability or willingness to relocate.
