Responsibilities

  • Conduct patient evaluations, gather and interpret data, and develop personalized treatment plans based on each patient’s needs.

  • Review medical records to gain patient background and ensure a thorough and informed assessment.

  • Provide treatment plans tailored to each individual, including activities of daily living, mobility training, cognitive therapy, family education, equipment recommendations, and more.

  • Monitor patient progress and modify treatment approaches as needed to meet therapeutic goals.

  • Document all treatments and patient interactions accurately and in accordance with departmental and hospital standards.

  • Assist with supervision of therapy aides, students, and volunteers as needed.

  • Ensure patient and family are educated throughout the care process.

  • Participate in interdisciplinary collaboration to provide comprehensive patient care.

Qualifications

Education & Experience:

  • Graduate of an accredited Occupational Therapy program with completed clinical fieldwork.

  • At least three (3) months of experience treating individuals with neurological and orthopedic impairments, as well as experience in critical care settings.

Skills & Abilities:

  • Strong clinical assessment and evaluation skills.

  • Ability to deliver direct patient care and manage a variable caseload.

  • Proficient documentation and communication skills.

  • Effective collaboration with patients, families, and healthcare teams.

  • Ability to manage time and adapt in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.

  • Familiarity with occupational therapy tools, equipment, and best practices.

Licensure/Certifications:

  • Active Washington State Occupational Therapy License or Interim Permit (valid up to 6 months, with possible extension).

  • Current BLS Certification for healthcare providers.

Compensation

Pay Range: $43.85 – $61.75 per hour
