Responsibilities

Conduct patient evaluations, gather and interpret data, and develop personalized treatment plans based on each patient’s needs.

Review medical records to gain patient background and ensure a thorough and informed assessment.

Provide treatment plans tailored to each individual, including activities of daily living, mobility training, cognitive therapy, family education, equipment recommendations, and more.

Monitor patient progress and modify treatment approaches as needed to meet therapeutic goals.

Document all treatments and patient interactions accurately and in accordance with departmental and hospital standards.

Assist with supervision of therapy aides, students, and volunteers as needed.

Ensure patient and family are educated throughout the care process.

Participate in interdisciplinary collaboration to provide comprehensive patient care.
Qualifications
Education & Experience:

Graduate of an accredited Occupational Therapy program with completed clinical fieldwork.

At least three (3) months of experience treating individuals with neurological and orthopedic impairments, as well as experience in critical care settings.
Skills & Abilities:

Strong clinical assessment and evaluation skills.

Ability to deliver direct patient care and manage a variable caseload.

Proficient documentation and communication skills.

Effective collaboration with patients, families, and healthcare teams.

Ability to manage time and adapt in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.

Familiarity with occupational therapy tools, equipment, and best practices.
Licensure/Certifications:

Active Washington State Occupational Therapy License or Interim Permit (valid up to 6 months, with possible extension).

Current BLS Certification for healthcare providers.
Compensation
Pay Range: $43.85 – $61.75 per hour
