Now Hiring: Health Information Administrator

We are expanding our team and looking for a dedicated Health Information Administrator to support the integrity, accuracy, and confidentiality of our medical records and documentation processes.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Continuity of Care:

    • Manage the secure and timely transfer of medical records for clients transitioning between providers or facilities.

    • Ensure accuracy and completeness in shared documentation.

  • Medical Record Management:

    • Organize and maintain accurate and confidential medical records.

    • Update patient demographic and relevant data as needed.

  • Payor Requests & Billing Support:

    • Respond to inquiries from insurance providers, government agencies, and other payors.

    • Assist in claim submissions and ensure accurate documentation for billing.

    • Support appeals by compiling appropriate documentation and collaborating with involved parties.

  • Notary Duties:

    • Serve as a certified notary public, assisting with document authentication as needed.

  • Quality Assurance & Compliance:

    • Conduct audits to ensure compliance with regulations and internal policies.

    • Identify errors or omissions in records and contribute to quality improvement efforts.

  • Document Management:

    • Scan and upload documents into the EMR system with proper indexing.

    • Maintain logs for all requests, releases, and disclosures of records.

  • Legal Document Handling:

    • Process court orders and subpoenas in coordination with legal counsel.

  • Training & Development:

    • Stay current on HIPAA, medical record standards, and best practices.

    • Support and educate staff on compliance and documentation procedures.

Qualifications:

  • Associate degree required; RHIA, RHIT, or a degree in Health Information Management preferred.

  • Previous experience in health information or medical records is a plus.

  • Familiarity with EMR systems and medical terminology.

  • Strong attention to detail and confidentiality.

  • Excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.

  • Ability to work independently and within a team in a fast-paced environment.
