Company Overview

MultiCare’s legacy in the Pacific Northwest began in 1882 with the establishment of Tacoma’s first hospital. Since then, we’ve evolved from a single, hospital-based organization into the largest community-based, locally governed health system in Washington State.

Today, MultiCare encompasses a comprehensive network of more than 300 primary, urgent, pediatric, and specialty care locations throughout Washington, Idaho, and Oregon — along with 13 hospitals. We are proud to serve patients across the Pacific Northwest, supported by a dedicated team of over 20,000 individuals, including employees, providers, and volunteers.

While our organization has grown and adapted over the years, our mission remains the same: to partner for healing and a healthy future in every community we serve.
