Company Overview
MultiCare’s legacy in the Pacific Northwest began in 1882 with the establishment of Tacoma’s first hospital. Since then, we have evolved from a single hospital in Tacoma into Washington State’s largest community-based, locally governed health system.
Today, MultiCare is a comprehensive, integrated healthcare organization, encompassing more than 300 primary, urgent, pediatric, and specialty care clinics, as well as 13 hospitals across Washington, Idaho, and Oregon. We proudly serve patients from throughout the Pacific Northwest, supported by a dedicated team of over 20,000 employees, providers, and volunteers committed to improving the health of the communities we serve.
While our organization has grown and transformed over time, our unwavering commitment to the health and well-being of our region has remained constant. Guided by our mission, vision, and values, we continue to expand access to essential services and enhance care delivery — ensuring that the people of the Pacific Northwest receive the care they need, both now and in the future.
