Additional Compensation: $130/month on-call benefit (subject to change)
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8 AM–4 PM or 9 AM–5 PM (40 hours/week)

Position Summary: Medical Billing Specialist
RADIAS Health is seeking a detail-oriented Medical Billing Specialist to support accurate and timely billing processes and deliver high-quality service when interacting with insurance providers and internal staff. This role plays a critical part in our revenue cycle management, including claims billing, error resolution, and payment collection for behavioral health services.
Key Responsibilities:

Audit and correct billing errors using the organization’s EHR (Credible)

Process and submit clean claims to insurance providers, ensuring adherence to payer requirements

Manage billing-related task tickets and resolve issues efficiently

Monitor and verify client eligibility and insurance details monthly

Assist in preparing and submitting patient billing statements

Track, maintain, and reconcile room and board payments for assigned programs

Post and process insurance payments and patient transactions

Establish and manage patient payment plans and follow up on delinquent accounts

Handle denied claims by resubmitting and working with payers to secure reimbursement

Prepare and manage grant invoices and fund collections (e.g., EGMS, HUD, county)

Submit prior authorization requests for applicable services

Maintain strict confidentiality and compliance with HIPAA regulations
Qualifications:

Required:

Minimum 2 years of billing experience, preferably with third-party insurance

Knowledge of HIPAA compliance and insurance billing processes

Bachelor’s degree

Experience billing for healthcare facilities

Familiarity with data processing and EHR systems (e.g., Credible)
