What Will You Be Doing?
Apprentice Highways Operative Duties Include:

Assisting in highway maintenance tasks such as pothole repairs, verge cutting, and gritting services

Learning and applying Health & Safety procedures in live work zones

Providing traffic management and signage for roadworks
-
Working as part of a multidisciplinary highways maintenance team

Attending college in blocks (when required), with accommodation provided

Earning while you learn with full mentoring and technical support
On completion, you’ll gain the Level 2 Highways Maintenance Skilled Operative qualification and the opportunity for permanent employment.
Who We’re Looking For
Apprentice Highways Operative Candidate Profile:

Enthusiastic and willing to work outdoors in all weather conditions

Good team player, eager to learn new skills

Physically fit and safety-conscious
-
Right to Work in the UK (must have lived in the UK for 3+ years)

GCSE Grade E or above (or equivalent) in English and Maths—or willingness to achieve them during the course

UK Driving Licence (or intention to obtain within 12 months of starting)
