Function: Finance & Accounting
Job Summary: The Senior Revenue Accountant is responsible for preparing consolidated financial statements and management reports, with a primary focus on accurate revenue recognition and reporting. This role involves reviewing journal entries and accounting classifications to ensure accuracy.
Key Responsibilities:
- Month-End Close: Prepare and support monthly journal entries, consolidating entries, and conducting month-end analyses for revenue recognition.
- Prepare various exhibits and commentary for management, external directors, third parties, and government agencies.
- Prepare and review sales transactions, analyses, and account balances, maintaining supporting documentation.
- Review sales legal agreements to ensure proper revenue recognition execution.
- Projects/Ad-Hoc Tasks: Prepare ad-hoc financial information requests and analyses, identifying trends and variances in a dynamic sales environment.
- Assist with special projects, year-end audit activities, and related duties.
- Demonstrate strong management and prioritization skills to focus on key company revenue accounting initiatives.
- Collaboration/Leadership: Evaluate and recommend improvements to accounting/operational procedures and systems, assessing cross-departmental impacts.
- Collaborate with departments like Supply Chain, Sales, Market Research, Legal, and IT, fostering strong interdepartmental relationships.
- Facilitate discussions on standard and complex revenue recognition matters, collaborating cross-departmentally to understand financial implications.
- Provide guidance to other accounting and operational team members as needed.
Incumbent Attributes:
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting.
- Experience: 3-5 years of accounting experience; CPA preferred.
- Skills: Ability to understand and follow detailed instructions.
- Understands and complies with internal control processes, identifying and reporting any deficiencies.
Estimated Base Pay: $76,950 – $91,170 annually (Actual pay may vary based on experience, skills, and location).
