About the Role:
As a GCP/DevOps Engineer at ESHYFT, you will play a key role in designing, developing, maintaining, and supporting the infrastructure that powers our platform. Your work will directly contribute to the reliability, scalability, and performance of ESHYFT’s marketplace, connecting healthcare facilities with qualified nursing professionals. Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of relevant experience in DevOps, Cloud Engineering, or a related field.

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a closely related discipline.

  • Strong expertise in Linux/Unix system administration.

  • Proficient in SQL and scripting languages such as Python and Bash.

  • In-depth knowledge of Google Cloud Platform (GCP) architecture, services, and best practices.

  • Google Cloud certifications (e.g., Professional DevOps Engineer, Professional Cloud Architect) are a plus.

  • Exceptional problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently and collaboratively.


Key Responsibilities:

Infrastructure Management:

  • Design, implement, and maintain highly available, fault-tolerant systems on GCP.

  • Manage infrastructure as code (IaC) using tools like Terraform and Deployment Manager.

Continuous Integration & Deployment (CI/CD):

  • Develop and optimize CI/CD pipelines using Cloud Build, Jenkins, Spinnaker, and similar tools.

  • Monitor deployment processes and resolve integration challenges proactively.

Monitoring & Logging:

  • Implement and manage monitoring solutions with Stackdriver (Google Cloud Monitoring).

  • Analyze system logs through Cloud Logging, BigQuery, and related tools to ensure system health.

Network & Security Management:

  • Secure cloud environments by configuring VPCs, firewalls, IAM policies, and VPNs.

  • Manage network traffic through load balancers and optimize content delivery via CDNs.

Container Orchestration:

  • Deploy, manage, and optimize Kubernetes clusters using Google Kubernetes Engine (GKE).

  • Maintain and monitor container registries, including GCR (Google Container Registry).

Data Management:

  • Support and maintain databases and data storage systems such as Cloud SQL, Datastore, and Bigtable.

  • Implement robust backup and disaster recovery strategies.

Cost Optimization:

  • Monitor resource usage and optimize cloud infrastructure to maximize cost efficiency through automation and rightsizing.

Collaboration & Communication:

  • Partner closely with development, QA, and operational teams to streamline deployment processes.

  • Mentor junior engineers and foster a culture of continuous improvement and best practices.

Continuous Learning:

  • Stay current with emerging technologies and evolving best practices within the GCP ecosystem.

  • Drive innovation and operational excellence across DevOps practices.
