Oasis Academy Sholing is seeking a passionate and dedicated Teaching Assistant to join our supportive team and help deliver outstanding educational experiences for our learners. As a Teaching Assistant, you will work closely with teaching staff, supporting students’ learning and well-being, particularly those with additional or social-emotional needs. Your Role as a Teaching Assistant
In the Teaching Assistant role, you’ll work side-by-side with teaching staff to help students reach their full potential. You’ll support both individuals and groups of learners with their academic progress and personal development. Responsibilities include:

Assisting with lesson preparation, resource development, and classroom activities.

Providing individual and group support to students, including those with emotional or social challenges.

Offering pastoral support and fostering positive student behaviour.

Delivering interventions to support academic achievement and inclusion.

Supporting teachers with feedback and tracking student progress.

Job Overview & Requirements
Key Duties:

Help plan and deliver lessons.
-
Supervise and support students inside and outside the classroom.

Contribute to behaviour management and student well-being.

Assist in evaluating and reporting on student progress.
Requirements:

Minimum of 3 GCSEs (Grade C or above) including English and Maths.

Teaching Assistant qualification desirable.
-
Demonstrated experience supporting young people in educational settings.
-
Strong communication and organisation skills.
-
High expectations and a compassionate, respectful approach.
