We are looking for a dedicated Facilities Assistant – Catering to join our team at Manchester University NHS Foundation Trust (MFT). As a Facilities Assistant – Catering, you will provide high-quality catering services within the hospital’s Intermediate Care Unit and occasionally at our other hospital sites, including the café and additional care units. Your role will be essential in ensuring patients and staff receive nutritious meals and beverages, maintaining the highest standards of cleanliness and hygiene. You will also assist in various facilities services, ensuring smooth operations across the hospital. Your commitment to supporting our healthcare professionals and patients will make a direct impact on the care experience.
Role Responsibilities of a Facilities Assistant – Catering
As a Facilities Assistant – Catering, your primary duties will include:

Providing meals and beverages to patients within the hospital setting

Assisting in the hospital café and supporting front-of-house or kitchen operations

Loading, operating, and emptying dishwashers and maintaining cleanliness

Distributing meals and beverages as required to patients and staff

Collaborating with domestic, linen, and portering teams to ensure seamless service delivery
Skills and Experience for the Facilities Assistant – Catering Role
To succeed as a Facilities Assistant – Catering, you will need:

Experience in a catering or hospitality environment (preferred but not required)
