Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Ensure full compliance with all applicable federal and state laws, pharmacy regulations, and company policies.

  • Accurately prepare and dispense prescription medications while maintaining required documentation, managing third-party adjudications, processing patient charges, and overseeing inventory control.

  • Provide professional counseling to patients and healthcare providers on drug usage, proper dosages, interactions, and potential side effects.

  • Actively participate in patient-focused services such as immunizations, medication therapy management (MTM), and wellness initiatives.

  • Oversee and guide daily pharmacy operations, ensuring team compliance with regulatory and company standards.

  • Mentor, train, and evaluate pharmacy interns, technicians, and support staff to ensure high performance and adherence to professional standards.

  • Maintain a clean, organized, and efficient work environment at all times.

  • Complete all continuing education requirements in accordance with state regulations.

  • Contribute to financial performance by achieving sales and profit targets, minimizing shrinkage, and controlling supply costs.

  • Ensure the security and proper handling of all controlled substances.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Active pharmacist license and registration in good standing with the state of New York.

  • Immunization certification or willingness to complete certification upon hire.

  • Valid driver’s license.

  • Must be at least 21 years of age.

  • Consent to driver’s license monitoring.

Education and Experience

  • Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy (5-year program).

  • Proficiency in pharmacy computer systems and automated dispensing technologies.

  • Strong communication skills across verbal, written, and electronic platforms.

  • Demonstrated leadership and team management capabilities.

  • Ability to assign, prioritize, and evaluate the work of team members effectively.

  • Skilled in Microsoft Outlook, Excel, and Word.
