Your Role:
We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Senior Accountant to become a vital part of our dynamic Finance & Accounting team. As a Senior Accountant, you will be instrumental in managing financial reporting, ensuring accurate account reconciliations, maintaining the integrity of the general ledger, supporting audit preparations, and undertaking other essential accounting responsibilities. The ideal candidate will possess a robust understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP), exceptional analytical capabilities, and a proven ability to thrive in a collaborative and fast-paced environment.
Your Key Responsibilities:
- Manage and oversee the daily operations of the accounting department, encompassing accounts payable/receivable, general ledger activities, and bank reconciliations.
- Prepare and meticulously analyze financial statements, guaranteeing accuracy and adherence to GAAP.
- Lead month-end and year-end closing processes, including the preparation of journal entries, detailed account reconciliations, and comprehensive variance analysis.
- Coordinate and provide robust support for external audits by supplying necessary documentation and clear explanations.
- Deliver timely and accurate end-of-month and end-of-year reports to the corporate tax department for the preparation of corporate tax returns.
- Develop and implement sound accounting policies and procedures to ensure efficient and effective financial operations.
- Contribute to budgeting and forecasting activities, offering valuable insights and recommendations for strategic financial planning.
- Proactively monitor and analyze financial performance, identifying key trends and opportunities for cost optimization and process enhancements.
- Collaborate effectively with other departments to provide essential financial support and guidance for informed decision-making.
- Support the preparation of consolidated financial closings in Eva-Net and WING, and develop insightful consolidated financial analyses.
- Summarize the year-end evaluation report in collaboration with HR for accurate bonus calculations.
- Maintain current and comprehensive knowledge of evolving accounting regulations and best practices.
What You Will Bring:
To excel in this role, you will possess the following qualifications:
- In-depth knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting principles.
- Proficiency in utilizing accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP, Oracle) and the Microsoft Office Suite, with advanced skills in Excel.
- Exceptional analytical, problem-solving, and organizational abilities.
- Meticulous attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy.
- Proven ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team setting.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Education and Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree (B.A.) or equivalent in Accounting, Finance, or a closely related field.
- CPA certification is highly preferred.
Language Skills:
- Ability to read, analyze, and interpret complex scientific and technical journals, financial reports, and legal documents.
- Ability to effectively respond to inquiries or complaints from customers, regulatory agencies, or members of the business community.
- Ability to clearly and persuasively present information to top management, clients, public groups, and/or boards of directors.
Mathematical Skills:
- Proficiency in calculating figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume.
- Ability to apply fundamental concepts of algebra.
Reasoning Ability:
- Ability to define problems, gather relevant data, establish facts, and draw sound conclusions.
- Ability to interpret a wide range of technical instructions presented in mathematical or diagram form and effectively manage multiple abstract and concrete variables.
Other Abilities:
- Bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish is preferred.
Licenses, Certificates, Registration:
- CPA certification is preferred.

The salary range for this position is $70,000 – $80,000 and is just one component of Panasonic’s comprehensive total rewards package. Actual compensation will be determined based on the individual’s knowledge, skills, experience, and work location. This role may also be eligible for discretionary bonuses and incentives. *The minimum hourly wage for this role will be the greater of the posted range or the local minimum wage, subject to applicable minimum wage laws.
