Are you local to Wednesbury and ready for a hands-on retail role? We’re hiring a Store Assistant to join our friendly team at Toolstation, working 20 hours per week. As a Store Assistant, you’ll be essential in creating a welcoming environment, helping customers, and supporting with stock and deliveries. Our store operates from 7 AM to 8 PM, so you’ll need to be available for both early starts and late finishes.
No retail experience? No problem—we’ll provide full training. What matters most is your commitment to great service and a positive attitude. Many of our managers started as Store Assistants, so if you’re looking to grow, this is the place to be.
What You’ll Do as a Store Assistant
This is more than a standard retail role. You’ll be the helpful face of Toolstation—assisting customers, organizing deliveries, stocking shelves, and maintaining store cleanliness. The role is active and varied, perfect if you enjoy staying busy and working with a close-knit team.
Daily Responsibilities as a Store Assistant

Provide top-notch customer service, helping shoppers find what they need

Receive and unpack deliveries, ensuring everything is safely stored

Maintain store appearance and safety standards

Prepare orders for collection and keep up with daily store tasks
