As a leading teaching hospital, Riverside Community Hospital supports over 200 medical residents through our Graduate Medical Education (GME) program, helping to shape the next generation of physicians. About the Role: Clinical Pharmacist – NICU
As a Clinical Pharmacist in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU), you will play a vital role in optimizing medication therapy to ensure the safety and effectiveness of treatments provided to our most vulnerable patients. Your clinical expertise will support a multidisciplinary team in promoting best practices and reducing the risk of adverse drug events.
Key Responsibilities:

Prepare and dispense medications in accordance with physician orders and therapeutic guidelines.

Monitor drug therapies, conduct pharmacokinetic evaluations, and recommend appropriate interventions.

Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to resolve medication-related issues.

Educate healthcare staff and patients on safe medication use.

Participate in the training and mentoring of pharmacy interns, students, and new team members.
Qualifications:

Minimum of one year of experience in an acute care hospital setting required.

Bachelor’s or Doctor of Pharmacy degree from an ACPE-accredited institution.

Active and unrestricted pharmacist license issued by the State Board of Pharmacy.
